Marrying a Nonbeliever Won't Work, Says Prominent
Pastor's Wife

Christians should not marry nonbelievers. It just won't work, says Kathy Keller, wife of well-known pastor Tim Keller of Redeemer Presbyterian Church.

The Kellers have dealt often with relationships between Christians and non-Christians. But rather than lecture couples on all the biblical reasons why marriage would be unwise, Mrs. Keller said it would be easier to let those already married to unbelievers do the talking.

"If only I could pair those sadder and wiser women – and men – who have found themselves in unequal marriages (either by their own foolishness or due to one person finding Christ after the marriage had already occurred) with the blithely optimistic singles who are convinced that their passion and commitment will overcome all obstacles ... Only ten minutes of conversation – one minute if the person is really succinct –would be necessary," Keller wrote recently on her blog.

She said that you can quote Scripture like 2 Corinthians 6:14 where it says not to "be unequally yoked," but while "you can find those passages in abundance," "when someone has already allowed his or her heart to become engaged with a person outside the faith, I find that the Bible has already been devalued as the non-negotiable rule of faith and practice... - www.christianpost.com


Samaritan's Purse Bible School Bombed in Sudan

A Christian school built by Franklin Graham's charity Samaritan's Purse was bombed in Sudan, Friday.

Eight bombs were dropped on the Heiban Bible College in South Kordofan state
near the border with South Sudan.

Two school buildings were destroyed in the attack. The group called it a miracle that no one was injured.

Graham said Sudan's Islamic regime is engaged in a campaign of ethnic cleansing. He's urging a no-fly zone in the area.

"They're targeting civilian areas. It's not just our Bible school, but they go after hospitals, they go after food distribution centers. Anywhere that civilians are gathered," Graham told CBN News.

"They're wanting to put panic into the hearts of the civilian population to make them flee," he continued. "It's ethnic cleansing, that's what the Serbs did, we saw in Bosnia and they're doing it here."

Oregon College Changes Policy to Allow Christians
to Openly Share Their Beliefs

(Salem, OR)—Christian News Northwest reports that a legal effort launched by two Christian students at Chemeketa Community College has succeeded in the college revising its policies so that students may engage in free speech beyond a single small folding table that served as the school's "free speech zone."

Said Alliance Defense Legal Counsel David Hacker: "Pro-life students shouldn't have to get a permission slip to share their beliefs on campus. Making free speech the exception rather than the norm and then corralling it to a limited area is unconstitutional and contrary to the 'marketplace of ideas' that the university is supposed to be.
